Basketball Fun near Little Creek: The Harlem Globetrotters Visit Norfolk

February 24, 2015

Love basketball? One of the most fun — and unconventional! — ways to enjoy the sport might be to take in a Harlem Globetrotters game. The Globetrotters team gathers a set of singularly talented players who show off their best stuff as the team tours across the country. Little Creek basketball fans can see the Globetrotters live this weekend at Norfolk's Ted Constant Center. The games take place on February 27 and 28 starting at 7 p.m.

Longtime Globetrotters fans will recognize the opposing team too: the Washington Generals. The Generals were the last team to beat the Globetrotters, but since then they've had a routine lack of success. This time around, the Generals are coached by one of their alums.

Even if you aren't an avid basketball fan, a Globetrotters game is a fun event with some theatrical touches. Players interact with the crowd, banter with referees, and perform comedy routines throughout the game, creating a fun experience for the entire family.
